By Gary Milsom.
The story of Splish the raindrop and his journey to the sea.
This poem, so wonderfully brought to life by Caryn’s illustrations, seeks via a single
raindrop called “Splish” to tell the story of convectional rainfall. Falling from the sky
and joining his friends to form a river, Splish enthuses about his journey to the sea.
He likes being a river, I guess because of the different environments he flows through,
but isn’t perhaps, so keen on the vastness of the ocean to where he inevitably flows
and where “all he sees is me.”
Wonderfully illustrated by Caryn Noad this book that teaches children about the water cycle has many hidden gems to keep you and your them entertained for hours.
