Softwood at the Houses of Parliament

What an honour for Softwood Books to be invited to the Houses of Parliament for a reception to celebrate 130 years of The Publishers Association. Being amongst leading figures in our industry and meeting publishing royalty Julia Donaldson was a real highlight, and is hugely representative of how far Softwood has grown and developed over the years, not only in terms of catalogue but also in reputation and validity.
Road Trip to Gardners

They were very pleased to speak to some of the Gardners team and were amazed by the impressively vast scale of distribution achieved there.

Cheetah Launch Event

This #NationalYearofReading, Softwood was thrilled to support Author and Playwright Ric Edelman's event, where he read extracts from his novel Cheetah: Caught in Conflict. The novel is a love letter to the endangered Cheetah, and to Iranian Persian culture. Cheetah is available now!
Book Fairies out in force for Haley Hamilton!

The Book Fairies of Scotland were out in full force recently to share copies of Haley Hamilton’s Ballad of Dawn, from The Elflaine Chronicles series! Copies were hidden across a large number of sites for people to discover. Thank you, Book Fairies!

Publisher's Association Diversity Working Group

Conversations around not just workforce diversity but also the representation of authors are key to ensuring everyone has a voice, regardless of age, gender, class, race, sexuality, or geographical location. These discussions will help shape the continued development and implementation of a more inclusive, representative, and accessible publishing industry for all. Softwood was pleased to send a delegation of Jude, Florrie, and Nathan to this mini-summit in London.
New Crealo author portals

Softwood has partnered with Crealo to provide our authors with their own Author Portal, where up-to-date sales reports and royalty data can be viewed. This is a hugely exciting development which will significantly improve the transparency of an authors' retail activity.

International Football History Conference
